We are determined to alleviate poverty and hunger, especially among our Filipino indigenous people. That is why, even as a budding social enterprise, we have already supported multiple indigenous communities all across the country and uplifted more than 1,000 families from poverty.
In order to protect the planet from degradation, we are firm in our efforts to minimize our impact on the environment. We have planted 15,000 new rattan seedlings for our reforestation efforts. On top of this, we have 100% compliance to the government requirement for our overall harvesting practices and production processes.
We are determined to uplift the lives and communities of the people we work with. Since the start of our operations, we have created more than 1,000 jobs in the locations we operate in. We have also supported 20 graduates from our indigenous employees.
Filipino indigenous people face the threat of being driven to violence due to poverty. That’s why we are determined to uplift indigenous communities by providing them means for employment. 60% of our workforce are indigenous people from all across the country. Due to this, we also promote peace in the areas where we operate and support communities. There have been no reports of armed conflict arising from indigenous communities in the forests of Mindanao and Luzon.
At Green Inc., we make sure that all contributors to our enterprise are well-supported and compensated in our operations. That’s why 100% of our stakeholders from the start of Green Inc. are still with us today. With that, we continue to grow as a social enterprise and foresee a 25% increase in our ecomaterials exports by 2025.
